Phoenix Rental Car Facility

  • The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport(PSHIA) Consolidated Rental Car Center (RCC) contract for Construction Management and Technical Oversight was awarded to Intellient, a Phoenix based IT consulting company. Intellient has been contracted as the Owner Technology Representative for all information technology project management, systems design oversight, strategic planning and systems commissioning. Additional responsibilities included collaboration with Aviation Rental Car tenant management staff, Austin Commercial (General Contractor), design engineers and consulting staff personnel. The RCC is a $225 million consolidated rental car facility at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, which will open for business in January, 2006. This consolidated facility has a three level car parking garage with 5,580 ready/return car stalls. The 120,000 square-foot customer service area is located directly above this garage.

OC Sanitation Disctrict

  • Intellient was contracted to provide IT consulting including the development of technical RFP and design drawings for the communications cabling infrastructure for the demolition and relocation of technology services from Building 5 and Building H to Building 6. Additional services include providing technical oversight for all system cutovers and testing. Situated between Los Angeles and San Diego counties, and bordered on the north by Riverside County and to the south by the Pacific Ocean, Orange County, California, comprises 798 square miles, has 42 miles of coastline, and enjoys a population of over 3 million. The largest wastewater treatment facilities in Orange County are owned and operated by a public agency known as the Orange County Sanitation District.

Phoenix Dynamic Signage

  • Intellient was contracted to perform the technical review and edits for the technology RFP and design drawings on the Phoenix Sky Harbor Dynamic Signage project. Intellient provided IT consulting services to coordinate the relocation of existing cellular carrier antennas systems and Airport Automated Vehicle Identification (AVI) antenna systems to the new signage structures. Intellient performed strategic planning and coordinated all fiber infrastructure installations and network integration for the Daktronics Dynamic Signage. Intellient provided technical oversight for the implementation, integration and commissioning phases of the project.

    Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, who tags themselves as "America’s Friendliest Airport®", has embarked upon a multi-year signage plan as part of an effort to make signage more comprehensive and easier to read. These new signs will be both inside and outside the terminals. The first signs will go up in mid-February 2013 on the West side of the Airport. Kuala Lumpur Int'l Airport

  • Kuala Lumpur International Airport is Malayasia's main interntaional airport and is also one of the major airports of South East Asia. The airport can currently handle 35 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of cargo per year. Intellient was contracted as the IT consulting firm to Sapura-Tomen-Harris Consortium in West Malaysia, responsible for all network and telecommunications design and implementation for the new Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) project. The initial role of the company was to act as the Implementation and Project Management arm responsible for supervision of the communication substructure/outside plant systems design, data center/equipment room design, implementation and initial operation for all infrastructure related subsystems; network, voice, SCADA, CCTV, Fire Alarm and monitoring, security ACX (access control), FIDS, BIDS, RIDS, AVI, BHS, BAS, CUTE, CUSS and all other airport and flight operation sub-systems housed in ninety-two buildings connecting two hundred fifty-six telecommunication closets. Intellient was also responsible for coordinating the installation of all technology room power and HVAC system requirements. Their present role is acting Implementation Manager with duties including coordinating multiple airport sub-system contractors, overseeing the final equipment room engineering, ATM, DCS, DSX, microwave and Hub implementation and system inter-connectivity. They remain responsible for managing the engineering project managers, designers and CAD operators providing technical construction and As-Built documentation.

Phoenix Sky Train Program

  • The Phoenix Sky Harbor Sky Train is a $1 billion project constructed to transport passengers between the 44th street METRO hub and all four terminals at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Sky Train features a 100-foot-tall bridge over one of the taxiways which connect the north and south runways, the first location in the world where a train will pass over an airplane on an active taxiway. Intellient is contracted as the Owners Technical Representative responsible for ensuring the timely delivery and oversight of all technology and facility special systems related design, implementation and commissioning for the PSHIA Sky Train Project. Responsibilities included technology systems related liaison management of architects, engineers, construction managers and project managers. Intellient provides value-added technical design and oversight for all OSP/ISP infrastructure installation, testing and commissioning. Additional Technology systems include CCTV, Access Control, Dynamic Signage, Telephony VoIP, network, Wi-Fi, Automated Vehicle Identification/Locations, Parking Revenue Control System, Passenger Emergency Duress System, Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE), Common Use Passenger Processing (CUPPS), Common Use Self-Service kiosks (CUSS) systems, Building Automation Control system (BAS) Distributed Antenna System (DAS), 800 MHz Fire Life Safety Communications, and Aviation specific Flight Information systems. As the IT consulting firm, Intellient has developed and maintained a strategic plan, technology project budgets, schedules as well as coordinated and managed all FAA, COP Telecom and Century Link infrastructure systems relocation efforts.

San Diego Int'l Airport

  • In 2009, San Diego International Airport began a $1 billion expansion on Terminal 2 called Green Build. This environmentally sensitive design is built atop a previous landfill and adds ten new gates and a dual level roadway for arrivals and departures to terminal 2. In collaboration with Turner/ PCL/ Flatiron Joint Venture, Intellient led the development of thirteen major airport systems, creating the RFP specifications for SDIA’s Terminal 2 West Expansion Project. The three major system components included Physical Security Systems, Infrastructure and Airport Operational Systems. The project also included RFI management and vendor evaluation. A post construction system commissioning and mentoring contract followed. Intellient continues to provide full time airport systems Construction Administration, project management and commissioning oversight services for the completion of the terminal 2 West Expansion project. Intellient is also providing technical project management and oversight services for the United and Delta Airlines tenant support spaces communications infrastructure installation.
