Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport
Terminal 4 S1 Concourse Addition
In 2019, Intellient joined the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) Terminal 4 S1 Concourse Addition project.
The $310 million project was designed to add an eighth concourse at the southwest corner of Terminal 4, featuring eight new gates for use by Southwest Airlines and its passengers.
Intellient is responsible for managing the technology systems budget, design, systems implementation, testing and commissioning efforts. Intellient is also acting as the technology systems liaison between the PHX and Southwest Airlines (SWA).
Project Details
The new concourse will consist of roughly 130,000 square feet of construction at the apron and passenger levels. A connector bridge will link the South concourses to the North concourses, and a transfer bridge will connect the new concourse to the existing Concourse D.
The new concourse will include eight boarding gates, support facilities, ticketing areas, security checkpoint upgrades and modifications, and a baggage system and baggage claim area. The development will also include space for retail and food and beverage concessions.
